Update - Thank you for your continued patience as we work to resolve the issue affecting SMART Mirror devices when Google Cast is enabled.
On May 5th, we released a hotfix to address the problem where SMART Mirror would quit unexpectedly — either during a restart or when initiating a new meeting. The root cause was an unexpected issue impacting the Google Cast integration. To ensure a stable and reliable experience, the hotfix temporarily removes Google Cast from the software.
Our development team is actively working on restoring Google Cast functionality with a more flexible and reliable protocol. We want to be transparent — while steady progress is being made, delivering a complete fix is taking longer than initially expected. We’re fully committed to resolving this and are continuing to work diligently to ensure the final update is reliable and effective.
In the meantime, users can continue to share their screens using the desktop app, mobile app, or web client. Miracast and AirPlay are also unaffected and remain available as alternatives.
If users cannot update to the hotfix, a workaround is available:
1. Disconnect the device from the internet.
2. Navigate to SMART Mirror > Settings > Network & Connections and disable the Google Cast Receiver.
3. Reconnect the device to the internet.

Update - While the work remains top priority, we do not currently have an ETA for the restoration of Google Cast functionality to SMART Mirror. When Google Cast is not available, you may use the desktop, mobile and web clients to cast your screen. Miracast and Airplay are also unaffected.
We apologize for the interruption this has caused and appreciate your understanding as we implement the solution to restore Google Cast to SMART Mirror. Further updates will be posted when we have an estimated update schedule.

Identified - A new version of the Mirror receiver (4.41.6) has been released for all platforms. Customers may be prompted to update. This version removes Google Cast functionality temporarily but prevents Mirror from crashing. In the interim, please use other protocols as possible.
We continue to work towards a complete fix and will provide updates.
